Hassle-Free Moving with Ready to Move
FAQ’s

  • What services do you offer?

We offer Ontario distance moving services, packing and unpacking solutions, specialty item moving (like pianos or antiques), and furniture assembly and disassembly.

  • How much will my move cost?

The cost depends on various factors, including the distance of the move, the size of your home, the amount of items, and any additional services like packing and assembly. We provide free estimates through a phone consultation or an online survey.

  • Do you charge hourly or by weight?

Our charges may be based on an hourly rate for local moves or by weight and distance for long-distance moves. We'll give you a detailed breakdown when you request an estimate.

  • Do I need to pack everything myself?

No, we offer professional packing services. If you'd prefer to pack your own items, we can provide packing materials, including boxes, tape, and bubble wrap as an extra cost that we can add to your free estimate.

  • How far in advance should I book my move?

It's recommended to book at least 2-4 weeks in advance, especially during peak moving season (typically late spring to early fall), though we can accommodate last-minute moves when possible.

  • Are there any items you won’t move?

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot move hazardous materials, perishable food, plants, or pets. Please check with us for a full list of non-allowable items.

  • Do I need to tip the movers?

Tipping is appreciated, but it’s entirely optional. The average tip is 10-15% of the total cost of the move or a flat amount based on your satisfaction with the service.

  • How long will the move take?

The duration depends on the size of your move and the distance. Local moves typically take a few hours, while long-distance moves can take several days.

  • What happens if my items are damaged during the move?

We take great care to prevent damage, but if something is damaged, we have a claims process in place. Please notify us within a certain time frame after the move so we can resolve the issue.

  • Do I need to be home during the move?

While it’s helpful to be present, it’s not required. You can assign someone to manage the move on your behalf, but we recommend being available for any last-minute questions or concerns.

  • What should I do to prepare for the move?

Clear pathways, pack up items that are not being moved, and make sure fragile items are properly packed. We’ll also confirm a time for pick-up and delivery.

  • Do you provide storage solutions?

Not at the moment but we will offer this service soon.

  • Can I reschedule or cancel my move?

Yes, you can reschedule or cancel, but please inform us as soon as possible to avoid cancellation fees.
