Terms & Conditions
-
These Terms and Conditions outlines the agreement between Ready to Move (“we,” “us,” “our”) and the customer (“you,” “your”) regarding our moving services. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
-
The client is required to provide Ready to Move with all necessary information to facilitate proper move preparation, including but not limited to the full address, an inventory list of items, any disassembly or reassembly requirements, the number of stairs involved, the floor number, the distance from the unit to the elevator or from the residence to the moving truck, and alternative contact details if applicable. The client understands that the following factors, which are outside of Ready to Move control, may affect the overall time needed to complete the move: the client's readiness on the day of the move, the distance between the residence and the truck, the number of stairs at all locations, availability of parking, elevator or loading dock capacity (with the client responsible for booking them), traffic and travel distance between locations, delays resulting from real estate transactions or the availability of keys, and adverse weather conditions (such as rain or snow).
-
Flat-rate moving fees are determined based on the item list and details provided by the client. If our movers find additional items or other unreported factors that could impact the scope of the move, we retain the right to adjust the service rate accordingly.
-
A written estimate will be provided to clients requesting moving services. To ensure the estimate is as accurate as possible, clients must either submit a detailed item list, provide photos of the items to be moved, or schedule a date for an in-home assessment with one of our representatives. Our estimates are transparent, comprehensive, and cover all costs as well as the terms of service, with no hidden fees. However, if additional supplies are needed on the day of the move or packing, our movers will seek the client's approval before proceeding with any extra charges. While our coordinators strive to give the most precise estimates, these are not guaranteed and may be subject to change based on various factors that can impact the move.
-
The client is responsible for ensuring that legal parking is available at all relevant locations. Any parking fines received by Ready to Move will be charged to the client’s final bill.
-
Time is billed starting from the moment the crew arrives and ends when the job is completed. After the first hour, charges are applied in 30-minute increments, rounded up to the nearest half hour.
For moves scheduled at the beginning or end of the month, there is a 4-hour minimum, which will be clearly outlined in your estimate.
Gratuities are not included in the price but are appreciated and can be paid in cash or added to the final bill. Payment is due in full upon completion of the job, and a receipt will be emailed once payment is processed. We accept cash, debit, Visa, or MasterCard.
For jobs lasting over three hours, the crew is entitled to a 10-minute paid break, and for jobs exceeding five hours, a 30-minute unpaid break will be taken. While we strive to provide accurate time estimates, please note that these are not guaranteed and may be adjusted depending on unforeseen factors.
Bookings are considered confirmed only after a non-refundable deposit is made. Once your estimate is accepted, a coordinator will contact you to explain the next steps.
Finalizing the estimate may require providing photos of your move or scheduling an on-site visit, depending on the scope of the move. A confirmation email will be sent once your deposit is received and your booking is complete.
-
All deposits are non-refundable. If the client decides to cancel a booking, the deposit will be forfeited. In the event that a client needs to cancel or reschedule a service with Ready to Move, it is the client's responsibility to contact us by phone at (647)-760-6699 or via email at info@readytomoveto.com.
For rescheduling, a minimum notice of 5 days is required, and the availability of the alternate date will depend on our schedule. If rescheduling is not possible, the deposit will be lost. A $50 administrative fee will apply to any rescheduled bookings. -
The client is responsible for notifying Ready to Move in advance if any items require disassembly or assembly. Failure to provide this information beforehand may result in additional time needed for the job, and this service is not covered under the warranty.
-
Ready to Move will not be held responsible for any claims arising from the following:
Pre-existing damage, previous repairs, or any loss or damage that was not directly caused by Ready to Move, including any damages resulting from an "inherent vice" or those classified as consequential by Ready to Move.

We reserve the right to refuse service if the conditions at any location are deemed unsanitary or if parasitic insects are observed.
